Low Back Pain, also called lumbago, is often thrown around as a "Catch-all" term to describe thousands of possible causes of pain in the lumbar spine, the most inferior set of vertebrae in the human body. However, the layman may confuse "low back" with "sacropelvis" and use the phrase "low back pain" to describe what is actually sacral or pelvic pain.
The causes for low back pain are so numerous that it would be impractical to list them all. Some of the most common causes in our office are listed below, but take care not to self diagnose yourself.
