Dr. Steven R. Mooring, N.D., N.M.D., D.C.

Dr. MooringDr. Mooring has been actively "alternative medicine" for over 30 years.  During this time, he has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience, and has kept abreast of clinical and scientific changes in the health field.  Viewing each patient with individual needs, Dr. Mooring uses his experience, knowledge, skills and talents, to the best possible benefit of each patient.  He believes in listening to his patients, and allowing adequate "one-on-one" time to meet their needs.

Dr. Mooring began his practice in Louisiana, where he was engaged in both group and private practice until 1989, when he re-located to Colorado, and has since continued in full time practice.

Dr. Mooring comes from a family of health professionals, where many have served as physicians, dedicating themselves to the advancement of health care and health care choice for the public.  He has served the public, and his profession, in a variety of capacities: President and Vice-President of the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana; Served on state professional legislative and stearing committies, constantly advocating for the publics right to quality health care choice, and equal reimbursement under insurance and third part reimbursement programs.  Dr. Mooring was twice presented the "Chiropractic Physician of the Year" award, and the "Meritorious Service" award, for dedication to the public and his profession and currently serves as member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Chiropractic Association, www.coloradochiropractic.org

Dr. Mooring's educational qualifications are varied and comprehensive: Honors graduate from Palmer University of Health Sciences (Formerly Palmer College), "Doctor of Chiropractic" (DC).  He has also received his "Naturopathic Doctor" degree (ND), and "Naturopathic Medical Doctor" degree (NMD), and has received, and participated in, numerous educational and specialty certification programs: from Philadelphia Graduate Hospital, Alternative Medicine Integration, American Academy of Chiropractic Physicians, Texas Chiropractic College, National University of Health Sciences, The American Chiropractic Association, Colorado State University, Parker Chiropractic College, Louisiana State University, Clayton College of Natural Health, and The University of Bridgeport.  Dr. Mooring has earned a "Diplomate" status from the National Board of Naturopathic Medical Examiners

Dr. Mooring's philosophy of practice, as a chiropractic and naturopathic physician, is to focus on, allow, and encourage the bodies natural healing processes, through natural, non pharmaceutical, methods...methods which have been tried, proven and used for hundreds of years.  Yet, he is keenly aware of, and utilizes,the benifits of state of the art diagnostic procedures.  He knows how and when to employ such procedures, and will readily integrate his healing methods with those of other physician specialties such as: family doctors, internal medicine, orthopedists, neurologists and surgeons, and physical therapists.  Holding a "Naturopathic Doctor" degree (ND), and an "Naturopathic Medical Doctor" (NMD) degree, Dr. Mooring is also aware of how much the public is interested in natural medicine, and he employs those methods when appropriate.  With his training, as a "Naturopathic Doctor," Dr. Mooring is uniquely qualified to utilize "neutraceuticles" (natural medicine), herbal and homeopathic products, as a treatment modality, and is able to incorporate natural healing, vitamin and herbal healing counseling for his patients.
